The back and front are bowing out about 1/8 inch on each side

I have a glass bowfront with a top center brace. When it is empty there is a lot of slack in the brace(can move it up and down easily about an inch or so) and when I filled it up I could actually see it bowing and and the brace is now tight. I have never measured the amount it expanded but I would guess it to be about 1/8th of an inch and it is only 46 gallons so I would think you should be fine.

I love glass although it scares me as I had a tank break for no reason. but I will stick to acrylic now too many horo stories on glass as I have one also.

I'm insured and if it breaks I'll have a reason to upgrade to a big acrylic.

Make sure the insurance covers water / salt damage.

Yeah I pick up my 240 this weekend acrylic this is built like a tank ATM built. this is going to be fun. moving my 100 down and out to the garage. once I get all my equipment. next month I start shopping for all new stuff hehe for a tank this size I will only go acrylic as thats alot of water to be spilling on the the floor.

My wife works for our insurance company. She says we are covered. She probably wouldn't let me have a tank if not. There is not a lot anywhere near the tank to be damaged anyway.
