Ok so i had a change of luck. The boss finally let me get a salt tank and i went out and bought a 55g a few weeks ago. Well i got injured at work and will have alot of free time and the wife is so happy it wasnt more sever that she said i can build my dream tank. So i was going to try to build a big (150+ gallon acrylic tank. I have the basics down since i worked with the stuff before) but need some specifics and ideal measurements for a tank this large if any of you guys have done this.

Yeah i saw that. What is the ideal depth for a salt tank? 24"? Once i have that figured out i will be able to move on. I dont know if i should go with a deeper tank or more shallow and longer?

The glass tank that im planning on build once I move will be 5'x5'x2' so i would say for me a 24-21" tall tank is the right depth cause that should allow me to keep everything with the lighting setup I plan on building also.

So depending on what you will be doing for lighting I would plan your depth.

The lifting wont be a problem... I just want to make the best tank i can. Im still trying to figure out if i should go with a 24" depth or more or maybe shallower. Alot to figure out.
