Im looking into a 72"x24x22 for about 165 gallons. I like the shallow look i think.

Shallow will allow easy care on the bottom. For a 72"Lx24"Wx22"H tank im betting you will need like 1/2" to 3/4" glass (depending on your bracing if any?) i dont know how thick on acrylic cause it has diff properties as far as bowing. Glass from a wholesale shop will be pricey right now as it seems tied to oil prices in some way. I would also go with 2 overflows on a 6' tank but thats just me.

If you can order glass for a good price let me know if you would and wouldnt mind ordering some for me to lol Just looking for a local place really the first quote i got for my tanks glass was 1600 that is just for all the
    glass.

Dont forget that when you measure the sides they have to be shorter to account for the thickness of the material you are using like mine will be made from 3/4" glass so the sides will be 1 1/2" shorter

Not really cause i dont wanna learn how to fuse acrylic together lol and really like the look of 3/4" glass and this will be the last tank that I setup so im trying to do it right and get everything i want. Also on the topic of height i looked at tanks last night I think it was a 60x24x27 and i really like how tall it was so i think that mine will be 60x60x27 with 2 overflows and just normal glass instead of starphire did really look like much of a diff to me.
