LOL i probably spelled that wrong. But i need to add some blue actinic lighting to reduce the time my metal halides are on. I know like auto zone sells some blue leds for cars will these work just for this purpose.? Thanks.

As an accent to a halide, the blue LEDs from Autozone probably won't cut it--- not affordably, at least.

For good actinic coloration, I suggest Cree XPE or XTE (either one) royal blues, run on a dimmable 1,000mA driver. In the following numbers:

For every 70w halide, 2-3 LEDs.

For every 150w halide, 3-6 LEDs

For every 250w halide, 6-8 LEDs.

For every 400w halide, 8-10 LEDs.

I've personally run 8 Cree royal blues with a Phoenix 250w DE bulb and it was MORE than enough actinic blue lighting. Quite intense.
