Activated Carbon

We've also ran carbon forever. Make sure that you rinse it before you use it as it can have al lot of loose powder in it. We always rinse it first then add it to a bag or mag 350.

 

Also running it trhough a phosban. I have bought a new sump since the crash and can run it in the media tray of the sump if needed. I can do either. The last tim ewas through the phosban. This time I think im going to try the media tray. I have the marineland 4 model sump and is was sent with the carbon for one tray. I am going to try it I think. I will rinse it off good and then put it in and see where it goes. Thanks guys

 

I run it 24/7 too.

 

I have to run it or my water will stink.

 

Be careful.. I run mine in a bag in the sump. Double bag if you can. My bag got open and leaked carbon granules into the sump and they ended up getting into the skimmer and caused a leak.. thank got I was home. Water was spewing from my skimmer.
