added fiji mud to my sump / refuge and its reallyy cloudy

    is this normal ? will it clear overnight ? should i add some sand into the mud ?


    i shut all my equipment off . should i turn them back on ?

    That's normal. You can shut off the water flow to the refugium for a couple of hours to let it settle. It will clear up overnight.

    ok thank you, should i add some sand and mix it in with the mud or do a layer ?

    U don't need sand in it if u put mud in there.

    The Fiji mud recommends a 1" layer of fine sand over top of the mud to help keep it in place.

    ok, but what about when i have to change some of the mud ? is that gunna mess with the sand ? ;D

    LOL, I would not disturb the mud unless absolutely necessary, if you want to replenish the trace elements you can always add a bit more mud on top but honestly you dont need to, regular waterchanges will keep the trace replenished.
