I would like to keep things fairly simple, meaning use the least amount of space/outlets/power strips. I know that a single PC4 for the RKL is enough for what I need, light, filter, heater, ato pump

But I would like to add a small pc fan to the light fixture. I am wondering if it is safe to get an outlet splitter so I can run the light and fan on one outlet of the pc 4.

I really don't want to get into either buying another PC4 just for one outlet, or getting a timer for a simple fan.

As long as you don't exceed the current rating of the outlet when you have both the fan and light fixture running, you can safely add the fan.

Thanks! I don't think I will go over the current rating. Its just a Par30 and a small PC fan probably running at 10 volts.

I did this. I ran all of my koralias on a strip plugged into my PC4 so that when it was time to feed or do some cleaning, I just pressed standby and they would all shut off..

Where should I put everything? Should the Aqualifter be put on 4, light and filter on 2 and 3 and heater on 1?

I read that the PC4 has issues of where things are placed.

That sounds about right. The #1 AND #4 sockets are best for switching on and off low power devices like your aqualifter.
