My tank as been running about 10 days, with approx 40 lbs LR....I'm picking up 70 more lbs tomorrow ( 100.00 for all 70lbs, I think its a good deal...rock has been cured and in a previous tank w/ some coral on the rock already )

I have 4 damsels and some inverts in tank....tank is still cycling .....is there anything special I need to do before / while I am adding the new rock to the tank ??

After the initial set-up...I realised that i wanted more rock...so its getting added a little late. What if anything will this do to the cycle process ?? I understand this will add to the bio-load...which is in the start up stage...and i know to drain some water to allow for the rock.....so I will save what i take out...and add back to tank to top it off after the rock is in place.

    Thanks again!!

The extra water will just go to your sump and it should be okay unless it overflows or interferes with something. As far as adding liverock you might add a little time to the cycle but it won't be too much and it's better to do it now than when you already have it going with fish, etc in it. One thing I would do if I were you is catch those damsels and get rid of them now before you put more hiding places in there (rock)! Damsels are not cool!
