Adding more sand 5 week old tank

    anybody know if adding more LS could do anything to a tank on its 5th week of cycling?...I only have about 3 inches...I wanna go with a deep sand bed...maybe a couple of more inches.

    May start to cycle again or take a little longer. Depends how good the live sand is and if it's out of the bag or from another tank.

    its going to raise the elements whether its ocean sand or bag sand. keep in mind to much sand will collect items you dont want in your tank. general rule of thumb, suggestion, 1 lbs sand per gallon.

    You could always do a remote DSB that way you can change it out easier when that time comes and maintaining the DSB would be alot easier.
