I finnally set up my 55g tank. have 115lbs of 3 different live rocks and it looks cool. i have a powerhead and a filter running. i still need to add 5-10g of water to fill the tank. at the moment the salt is a little low. what the best way to get my salt level up? making the water i need to add alittle hotter? will post pics as soon as i can figure out how to.

When I get low on salinity (SG), let's say 1.023, I tend to make a 5 gallon batch of water with an SG of 1.027 then do a water change with that. It brings it right to 1.025, but your mileage may vary.

If u have no live stock just add saltier water with live stock I would say wait for the water to evaporate til u get to ur desired salt level then fill with salt water

This will work as well, providing that he does not have any equipment that needs to operate at a certain water level. My skimmer would go nuts as it used to when water evaporated and I didn't have my ato yet.
