are you just looking to add UV? because you can do that without messing with your current fixture. If it were me i would just build a custom DIY fixture with whatever colors you want or add stunner strips for a wider variety or colors.

    Stunner LED Strips - 6watt, 12in.

I think there is a huge risk of breaking the whole fixture if you start trying to replace diodes.

Oh thanks, I completely forgot about stunners, thanks. What do the Uv's do, just add to the flourescence? That would be a lot easier than adding a new diode, and it's pretty cheap.

We really don't know yet, but many of us feel that Violet leds are going to help with coral coloration. 400nm-420nm or so.

They also add to the aesthtic color and do add to the flourescence.

What would be good to add to my lighting then? I have whites and royal blues, that's all. I'll definitely go with stunners, I forgot how easy they were.

I would add one magenta and 2 of the 403nm's and put them on dimmers for control. But that's my flavor of choice!

Take a pic of the bottom of your fixture. Many fixtures have room right on them.

I would agree with Grim on the magenta and UV choice. i dont think you would get much out of the other colors.
