    Losing 8 would be a huge change.. I may look at going with 6 white and 2 blue.

    It won't work with bridgelux diodes, they are about 5 times bigger than crees, and you must use a stove, or soldering oven to remove the crees, then the bridgelux will not fit on the board. If you can find them, bare SEMI diodes will work well.

    LEDgoupbuy has some 430nm Hyper violets, IIRC they're the best on the market ATM.

    Well reef breeders just killed my dream lol.. I actually have 12 whites 4 reds 4 greens and 28 blues.. So guess I gotta find bare semi diodes...If I happen to find them which would you replace grim? Might just sell what I have and buy bridge lux version;(.. Thanks for all the help

    What's the difference between true violet and hyper violet? Hyper violets weren't available when I made my light.

    I think im going to diy a strip to add violets 5-10 of them. Anybody know where to buy a aluminum strip to do this? Seems many places sell light kits but have not been able to find a 48' strip or 2 24' strips.

    Yeah, not a good idea to take the word of ledgroupbuy when they state there's are the best. It's sales fluffery.
