additional starfish

    i picked up 2 orange linckia starfish 1 for each tank the one in my sps tank is doing great but the one in my smaller 40 gal mixed is getting beat up somehow , pieces of arms missing ect but seems ok i was thinking about putting it in the tank w/the other one but not sure how many in a tank is good. the small tank only has 2 fish 1 yellow tang 1 maroon clown ,pistol shrimp&gobie couple of fire shrimp and 1 scotter blenny ,any ideas?

    Many times starfish will lose limbs when they are very stressed out. As long as a fish or some invert isn't picking at it, it should do as fine in that tank as the other. If you move it, you may only stress it out more.

    he has been in the tank for a couple of months now i dont see anything messing w/it i just figured the other tank would be more of a problem the sm tank has very little livestock guess i ll just let it go and hope for the best thanks
