    i was told that i do not have to buy any additives i.e iodine, etc... for my nano if i do weekly water changes. Is this method proper?

    You could probably get by with weekly water changes in that small of a tank.

    Assuming the salt brand you are using is a good one and has all the stuff in it you need ;D

    I'd think you'd be fine.
    That is actually what I am doing now with good results.
    Although I do use kalk with my makeup water.
