I am interested in purchasing a 28 gallon JBJ LED Nano Cube. Not sure if I am going to go intermediate or profesional series. However I am trying to get my equipemnt figured out.

Two things that I would like to have are a skimmer and a fuge. I have heard of people adding small skimmers and fuges to the JBJ nano tanks but I have not been able to find details and pictures of the setup. Was hoping you gusy could help.

So skimmer- I have heard good things about the Tunze DOC 9002 skimmer. Heard it needs some modification and that the collection cup needs to be changed out for a square design. Can somebody help me understand all the parts I need, what the setup looks like, the mods needed and what is looks like or how it installs into the tank.

Also I have heard that the 3rd chamber in the filter setup can be used as a fuge. Can somebody explain to me how that is done?

I just picked up a CF Quad (Drs. Foster & Smith, $300 for tank and stand!). I am looking into a skimmer as well, and just about to pull the trigger on an Eshopps PSK-75H. I have an in-sump PSK-100 in my 55 and love it! The 75 will fit between chambers 2 & 4. For 'fuge, you can use the stock media basket and replace the ceramic rings with Chaeto. Just need a light for the back (a cheap clip on or DIY will do here).

    Good luck!

For the Tunze I believe you have to cut off the magnet and cut a notch in the hood of the tank.
