its been awhile but i am working on a new project with a 55g and 55g sump. i am looking for a skimmer that wont break the bank say around 200/250$ that will clean a mixed reef and small bioload of about 4 fish. all i have for this build is the tanks and will be building stand and sump around the skimmer and other things i get along the way.

these are great skimmer in your price range. You could also look at the octopus line.

the footprint is how much floor space it takes up in the sump.
