Currently I have 60 x 24 x 24 = 150 gal ... with and Aqua Medic Turboflotor Blue 1000 which is working very well its always making very dark water so I added a Tunze DOC Skimmer 9005 just thought it might help to even make it cleaner... I don't like tunze still in my sump helping but not doing any skimming just a bet.
Well comming back to my question which one should I buy since I am got a custom maid Acrylic tank 72 x 28 x 28 = 244 gal. Well Aquamedic is cheap less then 300$, while EV-180 is 400$ and AP702 is some where 1300$ plus..... so it is a big difference. I am very much going to buy Aqua medic since it include a pump EV-180 no pump..... any advice?

    I purchased 3 month ago an Arcadia slim pendant serie 4 = 3x 250w + 2x 80w, I used to have Arcadia 4x 54w T5 Over-Tank but it want not enough so I bought chinese metal halid 3x 150w + 2x 54w (very cheap 500$) but worked 2 months then I went back to Arcadia which I just mentioned.

I went side ways... but coming back I would like to buy is within couple days... so any help on the skimmer....?

Deltecs have always had a good rep on the market... expensive but good. If you are going big why not try an ATB cone skimmer?!
Aqua Medics I have seen skim good and other times not so well. My father in law has a Turbo floater and honestly I am not impressed with it at all!!
I have only seen the AquaC at shows, no one I know runs them personally.

Before we go farther, why are you running two skimmers?

As far as expensive good skimmers go, ATB, Deltec, Tunze and others are some to look for if you want a made in Germany work of art skimmer. ASM, the Octopus series, EuroReef and others are not quite as expensive but still skim like crazy.
The Octopus came out with the Hurricone if you have not seen that yet. Looks nice. The only qualms I have with Coralvues skimmers is the lack of direction or FAQ's... The internet site is darn near all in Chinese... and the riser tube inside the collection cup has too wide of a diameter, at least in my eyes... If it was narrower by just a little bit or was conical that skimmer would SERIOULY rock!

I guess the skimmer choice is heavily dependent on how much you would like to spend. Other than that it is features, size, bio load capacity and so on.

    Happy skimming!

Thanks...but the problem that I don't have much choice on what to buy... Deltec AP 702 was sold out yesterday... only one peice the store had and its gone. So my other choices are AquaC EV-240 or ETSS 600 XR / ETSS 800 XR or Aqua Medic Turboflotor blue 3000? Which one you think is best?

I would go with the EV-240. A little bettter bang for the buck than the ETSS's IMHO, and the turbofloater I just don't think would quite cut it on that big of a tank

I am thinking about the EV-240, but then I need to add a pump with it this comes to let say 500$.... Aqua Medic Turboflotor Blue 3000 already comes with a pump only 300$.. money is not an issue... but the EV is rated 240 gal... as for the Turboflotor Blue 3000 is rated 400 gal (up to 1500 liter) and ETSS 800 XR is rated 400 gal (up to 1500 liter)? I know my tank is 244 gal (up to 1000 liter)... but I beleive a skimmer that can handel more is better then just getting one with no extra gal/liter. What do you think? I was thinking about the EV-400 however it won't fit my stand to bad.
