Anyone running this? The single module is made for up to a 100 gallon tank, but it will only take up to a 11" heater. All the heaters that size or less are a max of 50W. Can you get away with a 50W heater on a 55 gal tank?

200w is the starting point in heater wattage for a 55g :) i would rather just have one in the sump :)

I keep my living areas about 72 in the summer and 70 or so in the winter and I use a 300w on 200 gallons myself . I would look into a good controller and then any heater you wanted be it a 10.00 visi therm or a Titanium the accurate controller will do the job of either Get a good in tank probe sensor controller and then a heater..

I asked F&S about it and they said the smaller heater would work because it was heating a smaller area at a time, the small cylinder of the AF-92 unit as opposed to the large tank. I believe my house temp should keep the tank temps pretty close anyway so I think I should be OK.
