    My LFS sells a Sunpaq 34in 96w 420nm actinic bulb for nearly 80 bucks. I got the exact same brand bulb from marinedepot.com for 39.

    The cheaper MH bulbs from say China don't last anywhere near as long as the other higher priced name brand ones. The color is usually not as good either.

    Coralife and SPS bulbs are built in the same factory so if your looking at them may as well save some cash and buy the coralife, Phoenix HQI imo are the best ones out, what the LFS's here use and you can see the difference between the sps and phoenix's pretty easily when looking at the tank, then again they are going to be a $75ish bulb vs a $50ish bulb
