Affordable protein skimmer?

lol, ok, it skimmed great, just was ugly, and that ebay page left alot to be desired, skipped your post, i'll read it!

 

In the old days, skimmers were usually way over-rated and poor performing, unless you had a ton of cash to spend. I think most of the new skimmers on the market are appropriately rated. A lot depends on your water quality too. A light bio-load and good maintenance negates the need for an over-sized skimmer.

 

I over sized my skimmer because I know I over feed. I over though to make sure everyone gets food corals, fish, and inverts. Thus, the 320g rated skimmer for a 240g tank, now stuff can be taken out quickly without m have to worry about spot feeding my picky eaters.

 

I need to find that post again somehow. It dealt with all of those issues.
