Thanks everyone. It should be a good job, everyone needs water so hopefully there is a long term future with this job. I have another 30 years or so to work so hopefully I will be able to keep this job until I retire, if I get to retire.

Congrats IB! I myself have just finished 1 month of more than gainful employment at a new company after being laid off 18 months prior to that. It is tough out there, and anyone that was laid off for more than a year knows how tough it is mentally and it ends up taking a toll on you. Spending time with family and friends is the best way to spend the time off from work.

I'll hoist a beer or two for ya tonight:)

Congratulations on the job, buddy! Believe me, I know the feeling of being laid off for such a long time and it is very exciting when you finally get a job, specially in an area you somewhat enjoy doing.

+K to you. I wish you many, MANY years of success!!

Keep pushing forward, by all means!

Thanks everyone, I am looking foreward to the job and working again. The time spent with my daughter has been incredible though, I am so thankful I got to spend as much time with her over the last nearly 2 years. Another benefit is now my wife can quit her job and be a stay at home mom for a while. Sometimes its funny how things work out after looking so grim for soo long. Hopefully soon I will be able to upgrade the tank to 100g+.
