I'm so excited! My nitrates have gone down to 20 and I thought it was finally time! I got a green bubble tip and it acclimated yesterday-took a while to open up but finally did. It was on a rock at the LFS and I tried to place the rock in a place that it would like (based on reading - near light - good flow- and near an overhang so it could pull itself if in) but no surprise, looked today and it's gone! on the move somewhere - I sure hope after all this time it doesn't find its "sweet spot" in the back of the tank!

how did you acclimate? you did a good thing to buy the whole rock as opposed to just the nem. if the shop keeper is a little rough damage at the foot while trying to detach it will only cause more harm when acclimating so, again good job for having bought the whole rock.

whenever i add nems i dont tend to sleep well the first few nights, what lighting was it under in the shop and what lighting is it under chez toi?

if you cant see it im thinking you might have brighter lights than the shop did?

anyway let her be she will pop up when she feels the time is right.

I drip acclimated it for about an hour or so and then placed the rock in the tank. I'm not sure about the lighting at the LFS-it was in a tank with several softies and some other anemones.....I have T5 lighting 4 bulb with reflectors over a 54 gallon. I'm due to get ATI bulbs this week - yay! Currently, I have the stock bulbs that came with the ballast 2actinic and two whitish bulbs.....

Mine only seemed to move at night... Hated it. I love my anemones but they like the back of my tank unfortunately.

Congrats on the new add! They all seem to like to move. Yesterday, out of nowhere, my Maxi Mini decided to move to the back of the tank

Make sure to get pics when you can ;)

Well the anemone stayed on the rock but moved over closer to an overhang :( on the bottom of the tank...so hard to see him, the clowns have shown absolutely no interest.....*sigh* but at least it's opened nicely and coloring looks good....

I keep trying to convince my wife to not get one. (she will win HA!) One of my fears is it will pick a spot on the backside beneath an overhang and we will hardly see it. I hope for all of us they find a good spot up front
