ps all our significant other think that way about our tanks, even if they love them at first. After all the attention/time we put into our "babies", they dont get it...maybe they are jealous??

Thinking the same thing. That is a lot of candy canes. Nice job.

Awesome tank. :p I like the unique shape, that being a hemisphere. Candy cane colony. :)

    For serious.

I like how you have only a couple kinds of corals, but GIANT colonies of them. It's a very unique approach.

I imagine most colonies 7 years old would be massive. Looks very good though.

I've always liked those oceanic tanks. I almost picked one up once, but I got nervous over the glass distorting the contents. Seeing yours stocked full makes me re-think that decision.

    Thanks for all the comments.

With the candy canes, that was the first coral I every purchased (not the smartest beginner coral come to find out!). It came with 3 polyps and now they are taking over! I still don't get the whole coral care topic. I have the best luck with LPS (goniopora & candy cane) but have trouble with many soft corals like (other than the toadstool)??? Maybe it's my copperband butterfly fish.

I have learned how to care for the reef slowly and surely. I refer to it as my never ending science project!!

I will take some pictures of my LED lights this evening and post them in a new thread. They cost roughly $750 each. I fear they may be too powerful because some of my goniopora have lost their coloration...
