I've been wanting to consolidate some tanks and animals. I've got a 90g classic oak aga tank a 72 bowfront mixed reef and a 210 fresh water. My plan was to move the 90's contents to the 210 and get a 150 for my living room(to replace my 90g). But the other day I was in a LFS and saw a 110 x high(same foot print as a 90). It's 48"x18"29" if I went this route I'd be able to keep my stand and canopy, filter and skimmer. I've also got a 48" coral life pro fixture(two 150w MH's an 4 65w PC's) that I'd be able to use on the 110. I've got mostly mushrooms and polyps, kenya tree, leather coral and a green carpet anemone. For fish I've got a pair of lyre tail anthias, hippo tang, maroon clown, koran angel, and lots of inverts. If I get the 110 I'd like to get two more female anthias, a male maroon clown and another smaller tang. So will the 110 be a good choice for me? I'll be getting it with twin overflows and be able to reuse 90% of my equipment.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sounds like an option, just not sure if you could add that much more live stock, it's not that big of an increase in volume, and I don't know about another tang someone else will hopefully chime in with more info.

Honestly I don't think going to a 110 over a 90 will get you that much. You get water volume, but not a ton of extra swim space. Height volume doesn't give as much as width/length volume. I wouldn't put a ton more into a 110 over a 90.

not too sure about adding another tang but other than that......sounds like a winner to me. I would also watch out for the angel. They can turn on you in a second.

I agree with rocketmandb. You have the same surface area to exchange even more waste CO2. pH will be more difficult to control and you will have to beef up your circulation and maybe even your lighting if your nem decides it wants to be on the bottom.

Well, I picked up the tank. My light is 560w combined and the carpet will go in the 210 with the fish. I was planning on removing the koran and this maybe the time. I'm not too hung up on adding more fish I want more of a reef. I'm more looking for a nice show piece in my living room than a huge tank.
