This is my three inch long uber clownfish. I inherited this guy about a year ago, so I have no backround on what the LFS might have said about him, or actually her, given her large size. She lives with a black and white ocellaris (also pictured) and despite hours of research, I'm still torn. Eyes look like Ocellaris. Margins not quite black enough for true perc? Looks like ten spines on dorsal though!! Any thoughts??

I know, I know, but the Tomini is just eye candy!

I would say it's an ocellaris. It has the taller dorsal fin, very narrow black bands, and I counted 11 dorsal spines (the 11th kinda blends into the dorsal fin but it looks to be seperate).

BTW, that's a great picture of the fish, usually people will post blurry and out of focus pics from far away, but those are all great.

Was it taken on a DSLR? I can't imagine a point and shoot taking that. Very good use of shutter speed.

    Ocellaris.
BTW 3 inches really isnt that big for a clown, just people are used to seeing them as juvies constantly and they are slow growers. Bot true and false percs get to maximum size at about 4.5"-5" ;)
