I had been thinking that I'd put him in the 55 for a few weeks, maybe up to a month. Partly due to getting money together for the other fish, and partly to see how good his memory is/was.

The sailfin is a little bit smaller than the powder brown, so maybe that what this is about.

I had read about them being territorial over food, so I had added some extra nori sheets last night to see if that might make things easier. Also added some of the angel food frozen cubes that are suppose to have the sponges and stuff in them as a secondary source.

Well an update. The powder brown did some damage to the sailfin, but I think the sailfin started fighting back at some point. There appears to be some form of an understanding between the two of them. When they get near each other, the sailfin flares up, but then they separate and go on their way. I think it just took some time for things to get established, but I think with some more time everything will be ok.

    Thanks for all your help/suggestions.

That is good to hear. I had a little squabbling when I added my binotatus tang to my tank with an established and bigger kole tang. For the most part the kole leaves the blue eye alone now.

As long as that new tang is eating and not sustaining a lot of damage, I would not worry about it much.
