Clown triggers get 18" and V. lions get way too big for a 55. Triggers and puffers can wreck a lion by nipping their spines to nubs. A 55 is a hard tank to make into a cool pred tank because of its really narrow footprint. A better trigger choice might be a picasso, they only get up to 10". I would also look into a snowflake eel, dwarf angel, small butterfly, scorpionfish, and anglers. Not saying get every one of those, just some cool fish for FO tanks that might be OK in your situation.

What kind of skimmer did you get with this setup, and is there any rock?

its not water that gets cycled...there is none/very little bacteria in the water column. you will need cured live rock or use base rock/shrimp and wait for the cycle to be complete.

I am jealous. I have been scouring craigslist every day for about two weeks looking for such a deal. I plan on doing a freshy tank though as costs are much cheaper.
