I had this same problem with 1 LARGE Clarke and the only solution that worked was to get three new large fish at once and she just gave up!

Clowns are definitely known to be pretty aggressive. They would be out of the tank so fast after even the first kill that their eyeballs would still be spinning.

Yikes, I keep hearing horror stories about how aggressive people's true percs are lately. Right after I got a pair myself like a week ago lol.

    well no good news today.
i came home and found my larger clownfish dead.
im down to 4 chromis now. im going to take the lonely clown thats left to the lfs and trade him in and get another pair. i will have to see if the new clowns are less aggresive.
bummer because he was the most animated fish i have ever seen. alot of personality.

i really dont know why he died but it might have been from age seeing that i got him from the lfs from someone who traded the pair in and were in a tank for a long time.
i dont know how old they are but im sure its a while.
how long do clowns usually live for anyways?

I had an Ocellaris last year that would bite my hand whenever she had the chance. This was prior to when I started wearing gloves when messing in the tank. Now I know better. It is pretty impressive how much the bite from a 3 inch fish can hurt! :)

Sorry about your loss! I hope you find a new, beautiful pair of clowns that are nicer. I think the general lifespan of clowns is about 3-5 years (I could be totally wrong), but some live to like 20. But that is rare.

Mine arent mean, but theyre kinda like drifters, they dont have anything to host right now and they've only been in there about a month and a half. So far I've added a lot of smaller fish and they leave them be. They swim over and bob around checking them out then leave them alone. How long have yours been in the system?
