I don't even know if I'm putting this in the correct place. I can usually find all the information I need just by doing some simple searches on the forum but I'm having difficulties. I have a 120gal tank with a clown trigger, lion fish, and a miniatus grouper, everyone gets along great, no problems at all but I am wondering if I can put a star fish in there or something to eat the stuff on the bottom of the tank like the left over pieces of food that the trigger spits out (which drives me nuts!). I can't find what is compatible with these fish for a cleaning crew. I think that these left over pieces of food and junk are causing me to have a red algae? All of my parameters are good but this stuff still forms on my rocks and everything else, I put in the red slime remover and it help a little but it comes right back  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and I apologize ahead of time if I put this question in the wrong section of the forum.

With a predator tank you can't keep any clean up denizens of the deep except maybe a few Conch. Conch have a pretty thick shell and may make it. For sludge and detritus I would use Marine-Clean by Tropical Science. The special bacteria are used specifically for just your purpose.

You can try a Chocolate Chip Starfish...i kept one in my predator tank with a Bursa Trigger, Valentini Puffer, Panther Grouper and V. Lionfish...not saying you will have the same success, but they are fairly cheap to buy even if it does get eaten..
