AI Hydra 52

    Anyone played with these at all?

    I've currently got 5 AI Sol Blues (4 over one of my tanks, 1 on a frag tank) and I will need a minimum of 8 fixtures on my new set up. So I can either buy 3 more Sol Blues and forego a frag tank or buy 4 of these and alternate the two over the main tank (and still have a frag tank).

    The difference in price to me is not insignificant... $1200 for going the Sol Blue route vs. $2400 for the Hydra 52

    I really like the hydras but have not seen them in person. I'm a firm believer on more spectrum though for LPS and SPS.

    You will appreciate the extra spectrum for sure. I would go the Hydra route and keep the frag tank. The extra bit of color will really add some pop to your corals and I found my sps had better coloration overall when I added extra spectrum to my Sol Blue setup.
