Just ordered a Mr. Aqua 17.4g rimless tank and can get a sweet deal on a AI nano. Would that light be enough? Softies and lps. Thanks!

I think that would work just fine.

I ended up ordering the 3 puck kit from Rapidled.

Now I just have to figure a way to get it mounted on the tank. Any suggestions?

I'll definitely be following this tank build. Do you have another thread?

If you are decent with DIY, I would build a light mount using 1/2" electrical conduit (aka electrical metal tubing - EMT) using a pipe bender. Drill two holes in the conduit to hang the light from (using high tension wire). Then just paint the tubing black or white. It's easy and should cost about $45 total. The main cost is the pipe bender.

That's not a bad idea. I could then just mount that pipe to the stand its on. Too bad the stand is made specifically for this tank. O well.

No, I don't have another thread. I also ordered glass-holes super nano con dientes overflow and return kit. This is my first actual reef tank, I'm downgrading from a 40b FOWLR tank.

Well you could install it to the back or side of the stand, but I actually just screwed mine to the wall.

Unfortunately, my tank sits at an angle to the wall. I'll get something figure out. Thanks for the idea
