Well I literally have an infestation..

I was thinking on getting a copperband butterfly but I've been reading and almost everyone says they are impossible to keep alive longterm.. Or short term in some cases.

So I was wondering.. Is there anything that would kill aipstasia succesfully? That will co exist with a skunk cleanershrimp in a 150G tank.

I need something 100% sure. Or close to it. Is there anything of such description? Or am I stuck with having to get a butterfly or kill one by one with Joes juice?

Peppermint shrimp are hit and miss as are CBB. Joe's juice and aiptasia-x or some other similar remedy will most likely be your best bet. Good luck

I've got the same problem in my tank. I've used Joes juice in the past, it doesn't work too bad. Tried aptasia X a few weeks ago and seems after a few days the aptasia comes back with a vengence. I think I am going to order more joes juice and some pep shrimp and try and tag team it. I'll keep watching this thread for more ideas.

Watching. I only have one I've noticed so far, but I'm sure they will keep popping up....

You could try a file fish, not sure if it will get alone with you cleaner shrimp. Joe's juice would be my first try.

I only had 3 that I could see.. Now I have like 30 or more that I can see. I tried some lemon juice and it works but I kill 1 and 3 more appear.. Ugh...:-/ It's really annoying.

    Injects them with boiling water.
Peppermint shrimp (never had success with this)
Copper banded butterfly – never tried this, just read it.

For my money – boiling water injection does the trick.

I've tried this method and it works but I have so many aipstasia that it's really a PITA especially since you can never be sure you eliminated all of them.

Hard to say the cleaner will most likely be the aggressor.

You need to use Joe's juice and Aiptasia-x heavily on each anemone for it to be successful. Bury the suckers. Make sure and follow the directions exactly, ALL flow off and water still before applying and the turn the flow back on after 15 minutes or they will come back. Don't come after the anemone agressively when applying, do it slowly and gently.
