I thought I just had brown polyps growing. I just found out tonight that they are the pest Aiptasia Anemone. I was told to take the rocks that have these on them out and put them in stright water and they would die off. But have all so read and was told that peppermint shrimp will eat these. I do have a lot one one rock, however I would have to move two so of the other rocks to get to them. I did get 2 peppermint shrimp and added them tonight.

Has anyone had any luck with the shrimp taking care of this problem? Or should I star moving the rock? Please God them me the shrimp work!::)

yes get a couple of peppermint shrimp. they dont always eat them but most of the time they do. if your tank is large enough a copperband butterfly fish is a great fish that loves to eat them. good luck!!!!

What I found to work the best is q-tips dabbed with a kalkwasser paste.

I was going to post a similar post and decided to do a search. I am new to the hobby and have two of these on a piece of rock. At first I thought..cool. But they just looked mean.So I did some research and found out they are bad,of course. My LFS has suggested joes juice. I have heard that the peppermint shrimp do not eat them if they are over an inch or so large. Is this true and is joes juice a safe answer? I am going to continue to search the forums also.
