forgot about pickling lime. That's a good one.

Also been hearing a lot about Red Sea AiptasiaX. Bob Fenner was highly recommending it at MACNA.

good luck trying to get a syringe in all those little bastards. that might work on the bigger ones, but go ahead and get a few more shrimp.

I bought a treatment today called Aiptasia-X instead of a few extra shrimps. Just killed all of the Aiptasia in my tank...awesome.

    Cheaper than shrimps aswel.

White wine vinager in a syring has been a 100% kill for me. Non toxic (except for a ph spike in the region where I popped the aiptasia) for the most part, and uber cheap. I think I spent 3 bucks on some from safeway with a syringe from the pharmacy ($.50 for a diabetics one). Its easier to kill em when they get biggers, but if yours having a break out now, just stab them in the stem and annihilate them that way.

My experience with the peppermint shrimp wasn't a negative one, but I did notice they werent the most effective way of ridding the tank of them. They did prevent them from comming back after I killed off most of the aiptasia though.

    Just my 2 cents,
    -Gavin

I would strongly recommend getting a few peppermints even though the aptasia x is working well. It's impossible to see and kill every aptasia and aptasia spore in your system without tearing the entire thing apart. If you have a crew of peppermints you have a much better chance of not having this battle again in the future.

glad to hear those little bastards are gone, i had a pretty bad swarm of them during my cycle, but 2 pep shrimps and a little bit of joes juice got rid of them in a week or 2. and thats the end of my aptasia.
