Any personal experience with them, specifically in a reef?

Any opinions, knowledge, etc. please share!

I have a huge aiptasia problem. I've tried Joe's Juice and peppermint shrimp. Joe's Juice just bleached the aips and my peppermints show no interest (I have 5 peps).

mix up kalk and lemon juice,( the "real lemon" concentrate you buy) to the consistency of joes juice. apply it the same way. it will melt the aiptasia on contact.

here is the problem imo... you kill the aiptasia you see, but there are others under rocks you don't :( peppermint shrimp will eat some but i have also not found them to work. i think when you feed often they go for what your feeding and not the aiptaisa

I've been told these are easier to keep file fish and eat pretty well in captivity. I have heard they are skittish. Thanks for the link.

Anyone else heard they are really hard to care for, or if these are easier filefish?

I'll try that paste, but I don't hold out much hope! My aiptasia seem to be unconquerable! haha

Yeah, my peps are not helpful at all! I mostly see them just hanging upside down in the rocks and I've seen them walk right over aiptasia ::)

Oh wait Kacy. You got peppermints huh?

Don't get berg's now cuz the pep's will definitely dine on them.

+1 to reef monkey for a couple reasons. Fish eat 'stuff.' If its soft and chewy, that could be aptasia, clams, LPS softies, etc... Nutis eat 'something.' Usually one something. I doubt berghia will even touch majornos, which are closely related.

I did alot of research since I had like 15 nems in my 125g and my LFS had one. From what I've read it 50/50 if they touch it, and better odds against you coral.

    Booo.

I mentioned berghias to my tank guy because the lfs carries them, but he said the issue is trying to get them out after they eat all the aips.

Oh and I meant the peppermints will hunt and eat the berghia. It's a natural competition thing. Probably the only one that is 100% sure with the shrimp LOL
