+1. I was like 'you better eat 'em!". Then one day they looked a little rough and then the monster appies were gone. I found them very personable once they got settled. I think mine really liked the color of the macro.

I don't think I would trust them too much with polyps corals. Ours munched a little, after the appies were gone, and then turned to the macro.

Interesting that no one has bothered the filefish. Usually the new fish takes a beating but no one has looked twice at this guy. I guess it looks so odd that they don't recognize it as a fish. :)

Oh - and they are huuuuge!! I can try lemon juice.
I actually really hate killing them :( but I know if I don't they will kill other things in the tank.

I thought if I got a filefish it would be less direct murder and instead just coincidental death ::)

I hope they will go after your aips soon!! I have read they are really good eaters in tanks, so that is always a plus. But hopefully they will get hungry enough for a taste of aip!

Gorgeous photos!! Great to hear of your personal experiences. I don't have any macro, but I have a FOWLR tank I think I'll move the guy into after he eats all the aips, and then move him back into the reef if I need him again.

    Yeah!! Go fishy go!!!
