I know some people have used this method w/o success. But I've found it very useful using white wine vinegar. Somehow I've always ended up with those buggers within my zoanthid rocks (so I switched LFS), and I didn't like the idea of spraying unknown chemicals around the polyps. Although my polyps didn't like the left over drips floating around them, they opened within a few hours. And the best part is, for me at least, one injection with a syringe equals one kill :)

And you cant argue with the cost, enough white wine vinegar for like 200 kills, is about four dollars at safeway.

i think you should mix a bucket of saltwater as if you are going to put it into your tank. take the rock out of the tank, treat it with aiptasia x just onto the aiptasia then rinse the rock off with the freshly mixed saltwater, or just treated water with a tiny bit of salt. Then place the rock back where it was.

I take Kalk and mix it with RO to a thick but injectable paste. I use the syringe from Aiptasia X and inject it directly into the aiptasia's mouth. Cannot hurt the tank, Kills well and cheap as can be.

I used boiling water and vinegar mix. I sucked it into a syringe and squirted the aipstatia with an airline tube at the base/foot. It released the rock on contact and I scooped it up with a net.

I wouldn't go for a copperband butterfly. Thats not a good idea to use them only for getting rid of aptasia try other methods. The thing is the copperband will eat it and then die of starvation. Also the copperband doesn't completely get rid of the aptasia it will eat it but still leave the root which means it will regrow.

I have treated individually and let my peppermint shrimp do the rest. I only bought 2 for my 90g because the aiptasia was not that big a problem. I just wanted to keep things on an even-keel. You could use a few more. They clean things up pretty quickly.....
