Unfortunately yes. Because that is all they eat.

I've passed 10 on to a friend in the hobby. I could have sold them and got some money back but he might have something I need some day.

Go with 1 or 2 peppermint shrimp in the tank. It will be a gradual solution and u wont have to worry about feeding ten of them once the aptaisia are gone. I put 2 in my 150 and after a few weeks I was aptasia free.
They will eat softies after the nems are gone so be prepared to feed them but they love mysis or a chunk of krill or silverside once a week will keep them happy.

i got into the hobby about 2 or 3 years before sprung and delbeck cameout with there first reefkeeping book people were refering to it as the reef keeping bible so, i got the book and enjoyed reading it for years, i was already infested with glass nems to the point of quiting the hobby, i did try boiling water, lemon juice, copperbands that died on me, washing the rocks, scraping the rock, lime water, nothing worked. then i read in this book about this wonderful shrimp that ate these stinking pest that seem to kill everything they touch, and i've been using them for a long time and i can tell you the one thing i'm sure of, the pest will kill alot more of your coral then these shrimp do, when you read about hit and miss of these shrimp it is when 1 -2 are used, that is why i put more. i want them dead, dead, dead, and i enjoy feeding them they will eat from my hands and once they reach a large size they are beautiful, they only live a short period of time, 1-2 years if great water quality is kept, they are also a great indicator of water quality, so i'm not scared to put more in my tanks. i have a great clean way of spot feeding them so, no food is wasted they come to dinner like a herd of cattle. i use the fla. varity and have no trouble with them. i hope this helps.
