While scanning my tank I noticed in the back corner on the glass was this very small tube like organism with maybe 5 tentacles in a circular form stuck to the side of my tank. I am unsure what this is as it is growing on the glass. It was not there yesterday. Anyone have a clue to what it might be?

It probably is a micro feather duster if the tube is in a spiral shape and hard. If it is soft I would say it could be a hydroid.

Could you post a pic? Is the tube that it is coming out of white? If so, it is nothing to worry about. Hydroids usually spread like wildfire (at least they did in my tank until I got rid of them).
