aiptasia or not?

    ill assure you they are mojano anenomes and like someone said previously, they CAN sting other corals if they come in contact (happened to one of my leathers once) but they can be pleasing to the eye and wont do any harm besides that.

    i have purple and bright green ones that i just let survive and ive only had that one problem with the leather a while back, i think theyre cool and i say KEEP EM AND NAME THEM INDIVIDUALLY!!!!.......8)

    i'm somewhat new to the forum but to throw my 2 cents in I personally dont think those look like aiptasia/glass anenomes...cause i've delt w/ 'em enough & those dont seem like aiptasia to me

    def. manjanos...mouths don't look like shroom mouths but more like anemone mouths. Good suggestions above to keep them and make sure they don't sting nearby corals.

    From what I've read about these majanos is that they multiply and are a pest that stings corals. I would read up on it for yourself because if you can get them out early your probably better off.

    Majenos are bad news for corals. And they do bad news quickly.


    And those are 100% no doubt majenos. I would eradicate them at once. There are so many on those rocks that you might want to take those rocks out and treat them outside of your display. I have had good results with pickling lime made into a paste and injected with a syringe.
