So i had this huge rock anemone that i aiptasia x about a week ago! He is coming back and im wondering if he didnt ingest any of it? It was my first attempt with the aiptasia x and i kinda blasted him with it. I was unsure of the amount of pressure needed to get the syringe to start working> Want to blast him again but it looks like he is badly:confused: deformed now. He doesnt really open up and there is no way of getting the syringe around the mouth cavity like the directions say to do! Any ideas of what to do?

I tried that stuff once. It didn't work as well as kalk paste. Inject a thick slurry of kalkwasser into them with a needle, just don't nuke too many at once.

Kalk paste IME works better and is cheaper.

Copperband butterfly IMO is the best solution but not the only. dont know what size tank or your other fish consist of. But I had struggled with aiptasia for quite sometime and my copperband has cleared em all. Havent seen one since :) Ive tried joes juice and peppermints with no success... I havent ever tried kalk before.

I have seen a few spots of what look like baby aiptasia, do you think I should wait till they grow to kill them, or should I brush them off with a toothbrush now?

A copperband is by far the worst solution. There's no sense in introducing a fish that rarely makes it in captivity to a tank just for aptasia. There are many other ways that have a better chance of working anyway.

Turn off your flow and cover that thing in aptasia x. You want the stuff to sit on it for a bit.

My tank is still cycling. I only added three smaller pieces of live rock and I've seen only like 2 or three little heads of it. Don't think a peppermint shrimp will live yet. How does someone make kalk paste to "kalk" them?
