Hoping it isn't. Sorry about the bad pic, its in a cave that is only completely visible from behind my tank... and my tank is against the wall -__-

It appears to be aiptesia. Is this the only aiptesia looking thing you have in your tank or do you have many of them?

It is the only one. I'm sure I would have seen any others.

How long has it been there? I do belive it is aiptesia, but if it has been there for a while I would honestly leave it alone. Sometimes they do not duplicate. If you start messing with it then it might duplicate.

If you can, now's the time to get him before you get too far into the build.

I would pull the rock out, cover that area with a kalk/water mix that's the texture of pancake batter. Cover that area and "work" it into that little poor where it's at (it will pull back into it when you take the rock out so make sure you have a good eye on it). After about 5 minutes, thoughly rinse the paste off, and you should be able to easily just pop the aiptasia off. It should almost fall off on its own. Don't scrape it off as the little pieces could turn into more. Thoroughly rinse it again.

It has worked pretty well for me on coral frags when they come in.
