so I just set up my first salt water tank a couple days ago. I've got live rock and a couple of snails. I noticed that there is aiptasia growing on the rock. What should I do? I've read that this is a peskky thing to deal with. And also on my skimmer there is a chamber where u can place any thing u want in it. Would it be ok to put pouches of the resin colored phosphate remover in?

You can use joe's juice for them, as far as the skimmer goes what kind do you have?

You don't put anything inside of a protein skimmer, that would be a media reactor.

+1 on Joe's Juice. Alot of people will recommend Peppermint Shrimp and Butterfly Fish and all this diffrent ideas but Joe's Juice is Simple, Fast and Effiective.

Peppermint Shrimp worked for me. Be careful, there is also Camel Shrimp that looks similar, but not what you are looking for.

I have a copperband that loves aptasia...but he also loves polyps and some soft coral!

    Buyer beware!

To me it is worth it since I prefer LPS corals and hate using joe's juice!
