Hi. I have a 20gal tank that was started in January but i just recently added the right light, powerheads, skimmer and LR. Now my problem is that i have a whole bunch of micro bubbles that just wont go away. They stick pretty much everywhere but i noticed them sticking allot on the new powerheads. Heres what i did so far. Since im using a prizm skimmer (its known to blow out micro bubbles) so i added some nylon stocking on the return so no more air comes out. I turned off all the powerheads and blew water with a turkey baster at all the bubbles so they would make there way back up to the surface. that seemed to work but as soon as i started back everything there they were again.

Ok i could go on for hours here. You probably know what im talking about so is this normal for a new tank or is there something wrong with mine.

    Thanks

How long has the tank had the LR and PH's. I seem to notice air bubbles for the first day or two. I also notice bubble from my power heads for about a week after I added them. The Live Rock is porous also and could be trapping some bubbles.

Are you putting any additives at all in the tank? Some meds and water conditioners can make micro bubbles in the tank.

The PH were added about a week ago and the LR has been addd a peice at a time from my tank to hers. The only thing i added to the water was some kent liquid calcium.

    Thanks

    Marc.

It might take the power heads a little more time to slime up and not produce micro bubbles. I guess I would turn off everything and clean bubbles again. Then turn on one at a time and see which is the culprit. Do the same for the skimmer.

You might want to try turning the skimmer off for a bit after cleaning off the air bubbles to see if it's the skimmer.

it's not the skimmer we've checked it and tonight i 've notived that the bubbles came out of the powerheads so i stopped them and tried to take all the air out.
so we 'll see tomorrow what happens...
