Hi im considering adding an small pump with an air stone to my nano reef tank.
I saw some tanks in my lfs with them and the fish seemed to like playing in the stream of bubbles!
Are there any pros or cons to adding this?

    advice welcome

It could be beneficial if you don't have a lot of water movement or surface agitation. But if you have a skimmer/sump, and some flow, you don't need the airstone. It may be good to have if you can hook it up to a battery when the electric goes out.

If you like the look of it, salt creep is the only real issue i can think of

I use one in my 14 gal. BioCube in the first chamber (on the right) strictly for the oxygen. I don't have a sump or skimmer on it. It will not "hurt" anything and if you like seeing bubbles in the display...go for it!
