    FWIW, one major bonus is that the bubbles will provide fresh air "under the hood", flushing out CO2, etc. and assisting with gas exchange should your cover(s) be a little too tight. If salt creep becomes an issue from the airstones, try removing them and just use an open line. You won't need vigorous action either way; a light stream of bubbles will do the job. :)
