I have a 5.5 gallon QT with HOB trickle filter that is sized for a 10 gallon. Do I need to use an airstone also? I have a small sixline wrasse in there right now. The airstone I have is 4 inches long and I have a flow regulator on the tube to control the air to it. THanks, Ann Marie

Yeah why not? I personally won't set up any tank without an airstone ;)

I am with the two previous dudes. I have airstones in both my tanks. My main tank has the airstone in the sump and my nano has it, well, in the nano.
