AK v AR, I chose AK;)

just an update on what I got for all you that helped me with the decision. And this is temporary, I will be adding an AR as well this fall

Saiga AK47, ATI collapislible and foldable stock, UTG handgrip, for grip, bipod, and quad rail system, and bushnell red dot scope Its heavy as heck loaded up with everything, but thats just for the range

 

Oh yeah, and added this little guy for a light weight conceal pocket gun! Colt 380 mustang, shoots much better than the SW pocket air weight 38

 

I voted for an AR but that AK is sweet, nice!
Adjustable stock; an evil feature in my state that must be neutered so the children are safe...

You'll love the Mustang. They JUST started making those again very recently. I imagine this is a newer one?
They make a +1 mag with the "pinky" extension. If you have really big paws, sometimes it's easier to hold with that.

We have one of the original models from the early 90's and started, experiencing jams, we noticed it was from the weak mag release spring along with our natural tendency to touch the mag release while firing, (pocket guns). If you experience that you can get a 1911 mag release spring and cut 2 coils off it - then it will be tight and super positive!

 

Thanks for the info, and yes this is the new one, and so far it seems fine, the guy I bought it off of did replace the springs in the mag with a slightly stronger one. This is what he pocket carries and he had a spare. I am gonna look into that mag for sure, I'm 6'6" so a little extra grip would be nice.
