My tank hit the 6 month mark yesterday, so I figure it's time for a little update. Everythings doing pretty good! Aside from my shrimp, something killed him lol. It could be this big hitchhiker crab I have, but it could have been the my hawkfish or mystery wrasse.. I was out of town when it happened, so I couldn't do a full investigation. Regardless, I need to get the crab OUT. Easier said than done though. I'm gunna get some type of invert replacement soon, haven't decided what kind yet though. Anyways, I added a few lbs of rock when I added my clam, to make a little setup for him. The new rock started a little algae bloom, so I'm fighting that at the moment. Like I said, I was out of town this passed wknd and a neighbor of mine took care of my tank. As expected, he over fed and there was algae everywhere haha. Cyano is popping up all over my rocks. The combo of the new rock and over feeding is what I'm thinking is the cause. So I switched out my filter media yesterday, and I'll do a water change tmrw and feed light for the next few days. Hopefully that will get it back in check... It better haha. I got a few new adds last week. I made a little zoa order from coral collection that I'm happy with. I got some happy people eaters, kaliedoscopes, nuke greens, and candy apple reds. They're all small, and I can't wait for them to grow out! I'll add some pics, but my old iPhone gets crap for colors. I'm definitely getting a camera soon though (new job=more money haha).

My clownfish finally took a shining to my RBTA! I've had it for around 4 months probably, so it's pretty exciting to see them in there. It's so funny the way the kinda nuzzle on in there. I'm really happy about it. After all that's why I bought it in the first place haha. Anyways. Here's a few shots. Enjoy. And thanks for reading!

Thanks yall! The blastos are growing quickk. It started as like 4 heads and probably has double that now. Everytime I check it out there's new heads sprouting.

So like I said in my last update, the new job means new stuff for the tank! haha. I bought a new light off ebay the other night, so it should be here in the next week or so. It has a 250watt halide with 4 T5's.. I'm pretty pumped about it. I'm really hoping it'll bring the colors to they're full potential. Along with the light, I have some new corals coming in from mr.coral in the next few days. I love that site. They're not a sponsor here, but they have the best 10 dollar section, for anyone not trying to spend a fortune on corals like me haha. With the new light, I got a few different sps frags. I've been in the market for some for awhile.. So I figured I'd might as well get them now that I'm upgrading my lights. Anyyyyyways! I'll be sure to post some pics once everything gets here.

Thanks!!! The new lights came in today, so I'm gunna get them all setup tmrw and post some pictures for sure.

So I had a little bit of a fright yesterday.. I got up to get a kleenex and looked into my room at the tank, and noticed something on top of the eggcrate that I use for a lid.. I walked up to it, and saw it was my mystery wrasse.. I have maybe 1 by 4 inch opening where my HOB skimmer is, and somehow he got scared and jumped. He was really dried up, and I thought he was dead for sure. I saw him move his gills a little bit so I quickly took off the front section of my top and he dropped in.. He was floating up side down and vertical and upside down again, just barellyyy fluttering his fins. By then, I thought was reallllyy done for sure.. It was strange, all my fish could like sense that he was in distress, and went in attack mode.. My clowns who never pick on anybody, started trying to nip his fins, and my flamehawk who can be kind of a bully was getting after him too.. So I had to bust out the tongs and fend them off. Slowly, he started coming back to. He fluttered over to his little hole where he sleeps, and I went downstairs to get something, and my mom yelled at me to come quick.. I have a biggg hitchhiker mithrax crab that I haven't been able to catch that was creeping up on the wrasse's hole where he was chillin.. It was creepy looking, I neverrrr ever see it during the day. So I had to stab at the crab and scare him back to wherever it is he hides.. Like 20 minutes or so passed, and the wrasse just randomly shot out of his little hiding place, like nothing had happened at allll.. I couldn't believe it. His color was a little off, but its back to normal today. Hes got a few nips taken from his fins, but other than that, hes totally fine. I still can't believe it. I really lucked out.
