Alec's 40gal breeder chronicles!

Thanks corailline!! The shrooms are still spreading like crazy, I'll have to put a picture up tmrw. Its funny I have the superman shroom, green, and blue that all bust out new ones about every 2 wks or so, but my favorite ones (pink and red) have gotten huge but haven't split. Its interesting too see the difference in growth just color to color.

 

Haha thanks. It's definitely one of my favorite corals. Most of my sps I just traded with people, but the meteor shower was one of those I had looked around for for awhile until I found a piece online for a good price.

 

Hmm strange. Mine seriously grows FAST. I'm gunna have to worry about it encroaching on other corals here pretty soon. Good problem to have though I suppose.

Well it's been awhile so I think it's time for a post! I've had a crazy summer but I'm fixing to start school again, so no doubt I'll be on 3reef more again while I "study".

Anyways the tanks doing well, everything growing and growing and growing. Im about to move, and I'll have to move the tank to my new house. In the process im going to add 15lbs of rock or so and space things out a bit more. I've had a few fish jump since my last post. My longnose hawk and firefish both escaped and landed on my lid, so I'm currently rethinking new lid ideas lol.

I'm holding onto my friends yellow tang right now which has been cool. My buddy is a merchant marine and went out to sea for a few months. He broke down his tank before he left, so I'll have the tang and his corals for a couple months. It's making me wanna upgrade so bad, I'm going tang crazy when I do no doubt haha.

Thank you sir. Ya the red planet has been one of the corals giving me problems. It was encroaching on my rainbow monti and just about turned it white over night. I had to salvage a piece of the monti and just let it the rest go lol.

 

My red planet is very aggressive as well. It has won the war with every coral that has challenged it.
